Sorry I've been gone so long.  I have been working on a little project, and it has taken my entire time.  However, I am back.

I start my new job tomorrow for the newspaper!  In celebration, Whose Line!

Miles to go...

So, Good News.

I had a great interview for the paper I want to work for.  The editor seemed to really warm up to me, and I felt like a perfect fit for the paper.

The Less-Than-Good News is it's still not a guarantee that I get the job.  While it looks like I'll get it, I will still have to probably find another job on the side to pay bills.

It sucks that, besides Clark Kent, very few people make enough to pay the bills working solely as a journalist.  So the blog will flip over to my basic thoughts, interesting things I find, plus the occasional thing I find concerning jobs.

If you have a specific thing you want me to focus on, leave a comment, and I'll debate the concept.

You disappear for a couple of days...

And everything goes topsy-turvy.  In the span of the last weekend, I am pretty sure that none of my resumes have gotten out there.  I'm pretty sure the support group I had that looked over my stuff, both on this blog and not have disappeared because of problems with the internet.  Someone wanna help a brotha out?

Hmm...

Maybe, when I can't think of what to post, I should just post Whose Line vids...

Experiment starting...now!

What a weak update...

No new news on the current job searches.   I didn't want to have the same post two days in a row, so here is a video from Whose Line Is It Anyway?

If this is what I'm doing with my days, maybe I should've went to ITT Tech instead...

Huge Journalism Job Opportunity!

The local paper from a town about twenty minutes out recently got a job opening for a reporter.  This is the huge ticket I need.

To be honest, while I did study Advertising and Public Relations, Journalism and Media is my passion.  I dream at night about being the next Brokaw.  And all journalists start at the bottom.  You give me a foothold on the bottom rung, and I swear I'll be up there at the top.

So wish me luck.  I hold out hope that I get the job.  I'll post more resume tips tomorrow afternoon.  For now, I have a resume to work on.
